Quantum Trip to Berkeley

Hiking Mount Diablo

After spending a day standing around in the sun at Ozzfest, Nathan and I somehow thought it would be a good idea to follow it up with a 14-mile hike of Mount Diablo with a few of his physics buddies from the area. We took the hike pretty slow, but it was still grueling in parts because of the heat, the lack of shade, and the fact that the guys with the map kept disappearing.

Ozzfest 2006

I’ll have to admit that I chose to hit Ozzfest this year because I was worried that the little guy would croak before I had a chance to see him. The only bands that I was looking forward to seeing were Dragonforce, Strapping Young Lad, and System of a Down, and waiting for three shows in a lineup of 15+ bands was not an appealing prospect. In the end, though, I was quite glad that I went.
