… well, sort of. I’ve written about all but two of the trips that I took in July. (I also went to Napa Valley and San Diego, but those were more for personal reasons and so there’s not much to show for those.) Last Saturday I saw Death Cab in Berkeley, but again there wasn’t much to say about that either, and I don’t really want to get into the habit of divulging every nuance of my social life here, mostly because it will expose to everyone how infrequently I actually go out ![]()
Also, I read some stuff in July that I just don’t feel like writing about, simply because they weren’t all that spectacular. The two big reads were Alias Grace and Freakonomics. Alias Grace was fantastic, but in comparison to Atwood’s other stuff it ranked pretty low on my list (just above Oryx and Crake, and below the rest). Freakonomics was a fun read, but it wasn’t much more than that.
